My Sega Mega Drive Arrived!

Before I begin, I do admit that I confused the two Godzilla movies in my previous post. Apologies.

First, here's a really cruddy quality image:

Contained within is a complete Sega Mega Drive (also known as the Sega Genesis in the United States), along with Sonic the Hedgehog 2. Imported straight from Japan, I paid around sixty dollars for it,
and just as much for the shipping. It was worth it for a complete working system though!
More pictures with some of my commentary can be found at http://segachannel.net/sega/res/58.html
Now that I have a Sega Mega Drive, I can save some money for Rockman Mega World, also known as Mega Man: The Wily Wars. It's quite a rare title, and even harder to find at a decent price complete. Now to those who might be asking as to how expensive it may be, single loose copies can go anywhere from forty dollars to eighty dollars. Boxed and complete copies can go for eighty dollars minimum, and I've seen them as high as three hundred dollars. That was for a sealed mint copy, but dang...it's quite a collector piece for Sega fans, and for Mega Man collectors. Now there's a guy that's hacking the UK versions of the carts to use for the US systems, which is pretty interesting in itself. I hope he does well with it.

I may start a fundraiser thingy so I can try to purchase a complete Rockman Mega Word game, this is one of the very few listings out there, so I would need 199.99 plus the 7.00 for ems shipping :(

I can dream, can't I?

  1. Good luck with getting that rare game!
    I used to play my Mega Drive so much, I don't know what happened to it since I moved house ;_;

  2. Best part about these classic consoles is that they last. Both my original SNES and Genesis still work perfectly. And yet, I have a bricked ps3, and I'm on my 3rd RROD 360.
